Groot is one of the main characters in Marvel Cinematic Universe's Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. For unknown years, Groot became the best friend and muscles for a raccoon by the name of Rocket Raccoon. After sacrificing himself to save his family, Groot later regrew into the entity known as Baby Groot.
History[]
Pre-Guardians of the Galaxy[]
Groot comes from a planet known as "Taluhnia, ", but eventualy leaves his homeworld and becomes a friend of Rocket Raccoon's and becomes his personal muscle. Over the years, Groot 3 counts of grievous bodily harm, 15 counts of escape from incarceration and 3 counts of mercenary activity

Bonding with Peter[]
At an unknown point, Groot grows out of his pot. He begins bonding with Peter and Rocket, flying on Quill's back and all three having the time of their lives.
